NILE Foundation

About

The NILE Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated entirely to the future of growing, strengthening, and protecting our agricultural industry and heritage. This group's mission is to support the NILE's efforts. Money is allotted to NILE Ag Youth Programs.

We give back by awarding cash scholarships to graduating high school seniors, already enrolled college students, as well as our interns that are essential help during the week of the stock show and rodeo. Our live animal scholarships are given through the NILE Merit Heifer Program—an opportunity for young kids to learn hands-on about the cattle business. At the successful completion of the program the kids get to keep their bred heifer to start their own herd.

Stetsons & Stilettos

The main fundraiser for the NILE Foundation is an evening of dinner, drinks, and dancing. Stetsons and Stilettos is a time to dust off the boots and dress up for a good cause. Proceeds from table sales, silent auction, live auction, and games go into the NILE Foundation funds. The money goes to the numerous NILE youth programs, with emphasis on the scholarship fund.

Yellowstone Valley Gives

May 3rd & 4th, 2018

Yellowstone Valley Gives is a 24-hour “Crowdfunding” event that embraces new technologies that provide a quick way for the public to support non-profits while tracking donations online. Prize winners are posted during the day to generate excitement similar to a “telethon”. The focus on using social media for this 24-hour crowd funding event, provides a way to identify new donors and enhance the connections we have with existing supporters. This is the second year the Billings Community Foundation has hosted a "Giving Day" event, and last year over $75,000 was raised for 81 participating nonprofits.

Give Here

Let’s break the million-dollar mark! We’ve given approximately $860,000 worth in cash and live animal scholarships. That means hundreds of kids have gotten a boost up paying for higher education, a head start in the cattle industry, and gained life long skills and experiences.

These bright, young agriculturalists are inspiring with their accomplishments, pursuits, and goals. One requirement of receiving a NILE Scholarship is participation in the NILE in some capacity. Because of this we have witnessed many of these kids grow up we’re inspired by their dedication and love for the Western lifestyle.

We hope that you share these sentiments with us and feel compelled to enrich the lives of the future of our agriculture industry!
