The NILE will host the sixth Ranching Heritage Challenge on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 7:30 am.
 
 At least $15,000 in added money will be in the pot for each challenge.  Classes offered will include working ranch horse, boxing, and ranch pleasure.
 
The Ranching Heritage Challenge at the NILE is brought to you by AQHA Corporate Partner Zoetis and local partners Cowan Select Horses, LLC; Galt Ranch Quarter Horses, LLC; Wagonhound Land & Livestock; and Weaver Quarter Horses.
 
2014 Ranching Heritage Challenge Events
In 2014, AQHA will host six Zoetis Ranching Heritage Challenge events. These will be entry-fee only events, and horses do not have to be nominated to compete.
  1. Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo – Fort Worth, Texas: January 17, 2014
  2. Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo – Houston, Texas: March 23, 2014
  3. Colorado State Fair – Pueblo, Colorado: August 28, 2014
  4. Amarillo Tri State Fair – Amarillo, Texas: September 13, 2014
  5. NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity - Reno, NV: September 26, 2014
  6. Northern International Livestock Exposition – Billings, Montana: October 17, 2014 

FAQ's
Does my horse have to be nominated to compete in the Ranching Heritage Challenge?
No! For 2014, horses do not have to be nominated to the Ranching Heritage Challenge to compete. These shows are an entry-fee only event with the majority of the entry fee being paid back in the purse, along with $10,000 in added money from AQHA and valued sponsors.

How do I know if my horse is eligible?
Any 4-year-old horse (as of January 1, 2014) that was bred by a Ranching Heritage Breeder is eligible to compete in the open or limited open in any Ranching Heritage Challenge for 2014.
Any 5-year-old or older horse (as of January 1, 2014) that was bred by a Ranching Heritage Breeder is eligible to compete in the amateur class in any Ranching Heritage Challenge for 2014.

I bought a horse from a ranch, how can I find out if it was a Ranching Heritage Breeder?
